Technical Specifications

The Bulroc 560R is a Concentric Overburden Drilling System designed for the continuous casing of a 25.2" diameter hole, through loose overburden materials down into solid bedrock. The CDS 560R comprises the Driver, replaceable Drive Ring, and 3 replaceable segments. The driver is available for most 18" hammers.

At the start of the drilling operation, the Segments are in the closed position to allow the System to pass into the casing, where the Driver shoulder locates against the casing shoe. With the casing raised, the 3 segments are opened and drilling can commence.

When the required depth is reached, the segments can be closed by counter rotating the system, either against the bottom of the hole if on solid ground or by pulling the system up against the casing if still in overburden material. When fully closed, the system can be pulled back through the casing shoe, leaving the casing supporting the hole.
