Continuous Value
Atlas Copco's experience in supporting rental customers around the world has lead to our focus on cost of ownership. QAS generators are designed with features which reduce the costs of service and maintenance. Extended service intervals and easy access to service points will keep downtime to a minimum and ensure lower operating costs. |

Continuous Operation
QAS units are designed to provide continuous prime power output 24 7 / 365. Skid-mounted QAS units are capable of full-shift operation without refueling. Trailer-mounted QAS units include an auxiliary fuel cell that extends the fuel economy to 24 hours. |
QAS 325 |
QAS 30-138 |
|
Handling Made Easy
QAS generators come standard with features which make transport and handling easy. The skid base includes forklift slots that can be accessed from either side of the generator and tie-down points for secure transport. --11-- In addition, QAS units are well balanced and can safely be lifted by a crane utilizing the integrated lifting beam.
All QAS generators can be equipped with a heavy duty trailer for on-road transport. These rugged trailers are designed for easy mobility over the rough terrain encountered at the jobsite while maintaining the stability required for towing at highway speeds. The trailers can be specified with hydraulic surge or electric brakes to suit legal requirements and include DOT-approved lighting, reflectors, and safety chains. |
|
Monitoring at a Glance
The lighted, easy-to-read control panel is protected against unauthorized access by a lockable door and allows for monitoring of all key operating functions without opening the enclosure. QAS units feature a comprehensive array of gauges including oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, running hours, engine speed / frequency, and output voltage. --4-- Individual ammeters monitor the amperage output on each phase, allowing the operator to easily identify load imbalances.
Standard QAS units are equipped with an easy-to-use engine controller featuring local and remote start/stop control capability. The controller has LED shutdown indicators for system faults including high coolant temperature, low coolant level, low oil pressure, over-speed, over-crank, and under-voltage, plus a warning indication for charging system failure. --5-- |
Designed for Safety
QAS units are equipped with three pole main circuit breakers --6-- for high or low voltage operation offering protection against overload and short circuit.
The design of the terminal board allows quick fix electrical connections --7-- while protecting against the risk of accidental contact with the terminal board.
The emergency stop button --8-- is recessed to prevent damage, but can quickly be accessed without opening the enclosure. Activating the emergency stop immediately stops the engine and trips the main circuit breaker.
Power sockets, door handles, and the fuel filter --15-- are recessed to prevent damage and injuries to the operator. In addition, the enclosure doors are lockable to prevent unauthorized access.
