Meets Legal Safety and Environmental Requirements

The XAS97 compressors meet current US legal requirements relating to the working environment and regulations concerning safety, exhaust emissions, and noise. John Deere engines fully comply with EPA Tier II exhaust emission regulations. Atlas Copco has fully implemented its Environmental Management System into the design and manufacture of these machines, fulfilling the requirements of ISO 14001.

Due to their low noise rating, the XAS97 compressors may be suitable for operation in noise-sensitive environments such as hospitals, schools, and residential areas. Night operation may also be possible.

High Efficiency By combining a low rotor speed with few moving parts, the compressor element offers high efficiency with reduced wear. These enable Atlas Copco compressors to deliver long-term reliability and efficiency as standard features.	Heavy Duty Air Filter Two high-performance, two-stage air intake filters are standard. The filters prevent dust and dirt particles from entering the engine and the compressor. A service indicator on the filters indicates when they need maintenance or replacement.	Centralized Controls All controls are grouped on a single panel near the outlet valves and covered by a rigid metal cover for safety, ease of monitoring, and simplified operation.

Wide Opening Canopy
Supported by two gas struts, the one-piece canopy opens fully for excellent service access. A new type of powder-coated zincor steel is used on the bodywork for excellent corrosion resistance. This can help ensure the compressor retains a higher residual resale value.

Low Operational Cost
A stepless and fully automatic regulator varies the engine speed to match air demand. This regulator reduces power and fuel consumption and ensures continuous air flow at a consistent stable pressure.

Minimized Downtime
The high capacity fuel tank and fuel-efficient engine ensure full shift operation without refueling.

Our new 185 CFM compressor meeting your requirements is now available in a tow-behind configuration or truck-mount version.

The tow-behind unit, XAS97JD, is equipped with the following as standard:

• A new Tier II emission-compliant (John Deere) engine.
• The latest technology advanced airend.
• D.O.T. approved road light system.

Our utility-mount compressor is designed for cross-mounting on service vehicles used for maintenance, road striping, and other related activities.

This unit is designed with two sets of forklift slots and a single-point lifting bail for easy mounting or dismounting from the carrier.

A lockable control panel, air outlet valves, engine and compressor oil drains, and refueling are performed on the curbside end of the unit.

Servicing of the air and oil filters for the compressor and engine is done from the exposed side of the enclosure. A high-quality powder coat paint system is applied to ensure protection from the elements.
